That cheapens our bodies too (especially when we haggle), doesn't it? :) On another site of yours I read that johns were often released (by the cops, after being detained, I mean!), while whores were overwhelmingly the ones arrested and prosecuted... You know, that makes me think that whores may very well be the new "witches". We all remember how puritans (and religious fanatics in Europe), largely male authority figures, were able to persecute and torture women for centuries, under the guise of morality and religious "superiority". Those perverted bastards got away with getting their rocks off by stripping their victims of their clothes, then breaking their bodies or burning them alive. All in the name of God, and while we now know that witches never existed. How many of these men were impotent, psychopatic pedophiles, or were retaliating against women who had turned them down? I'm sure that one day, we'll look at these poor sex workers, dragged out of parlors in handcuffs to have their criminal records and reputations destroyed, as also victims of a witch hunt executed by hypocrites.
